This seminar aims to support the CEMM postgraduate community through making connections, considering new perspectives and exploring current issues relevant to our field of research.

    Xuan Mai Le (MEd candidate) presented a snapshot of Self-efficacy theory as propositioned by Bandura and how it relates to her research on teachers' adoption of eLearning strategies.

    Using NVivo to manage your literature review
    Anthony Fernando (PhD candidate) explained how he uses NVivo to theme, manage and make sense of his literature review.

    Rosemary Abbott (PhD candidate) was given the difficult task of discussing some of the problems she is facing in making sense of her PhD findings on teacher identity and online learning.

    "Why 'what works' is not enough for ICT in education research?"
    Dr Geoff Romeo and Dr Glenn Russell challenged us to critically examine the purpose and rigour of research in the field of ICT in education. This highly topical debate is the basis of a chapter which Dr Romeo and Dr Russell have recently co-authored and will soon be published.

    Getting Published
    This session highlighted some issues in getting research published and used the Australian Educational Computing as an example of a supportive and varied forum for publication. 

    The CEMM brand - sustaining our network and building capacity
    Dr Bernard Holkner and Dr Michael Henderson encouraged all participants to explore the CEMM website and consider becoming more closely associated with CEMM with a view of collaborative research. CEMM postgraduates are given their own research space on the website and it was hoped that other associates would register for news updates.
